In a groundbreaking moment in Dominican Republic fashion history, a traditional rug-making technique from Piedra Blanca, utilizing repurposed fabrics crafted by local artisans and rural families, made its runway debut – reimagined in De Moya’s innovative designs. His theatrical proposal mesmerized the fashion scene, generating buzz and solidifying his position as a trailblazing designer in his country.
27 stunning looks graced the catwalk, set to an exclusive, unreleased soundtrack produced by Vadir Gonzalez. Carlos De Moya expertly handled styling duties. The collection showcased an exquisite array of materials, including silk gazar, opulent brocades, metallic mesh, and delicate organza, bringing De Moya’s visionary designs to life.
